Application Developer - SAP ABAP HANA

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for an Application Developer specialized in SAP ABAP and HANA to join its global consulting team. You will work with leading enterprises, helping them modernize their SAP landscape while leveraging hybrid cloud and AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP code following best practices.
• Create technical specifications from conceptual designs and business requirements.
• Collaborate with functional analysts and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and post‑deployment support.
• Identify and resolve performance issues, optimizing programs for efficiency and scalability.
• Stay current with ABAP, SAP HANA, and related technology trends and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in SAP ABAP HANA development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven ability to gather and analyze functional requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones.
• Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Required skills

• SAP ABAP programming, including ABAP Objects.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA architecture and development (CDS, OData, AMDP).
• Experience with WRICEF components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflow).
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori development (RAP, UI5) is a plus.
