Application Support Senior Engineer

About the role

Al Ahly Momkn, a fast‑growing fintech subsidiary of Al Ahly Capital, is looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of its payment and financial services platforms across Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve basic customer queries and perform initial troubleshooting to improve satisfaction and reduce wait times.
• Escalate complex cases to specialised teams while maintaining clear communication.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to continuously upgrade technical knowledge.
• Gather customer feedback, identify improvement areas, and support process enhancements.
• Analyze urgent issues within 24 hours, implement fixes, and prevent recurrence.
• Restore normal operations quickly to minimise downtime and customer impact.
• Maintain production environment availability of at least 99.5% for unplanned outages.
• Meet service‑level agreements during incidents to uphold reliability.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in Engineering or IT Application Support.
• Fin‑tech background is a plus.
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Strong understanding of application support processes and best practices.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Result‑oriented and customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Strong Linux knowledge (scripting, searching, operating).
• Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Ability to write and maintain scripts for automation and troubleshooting.
