Automation Design Leader

About the role

As an Automation Design Leader at Schneider Electric, you will drive the design, engineering, configuration, and commissioning of substation SCADA systems. You will work closely with customers, utilities, and internal teams to deliver integrated control and communication solutions that enable reliable, secure, and efficient power management.

Key responsibilities

• Design, engineer, configure, and commission substation SCADA and integrated control & communication networks.
• Develop engineering studies, specifications, design documents, and performance assessments for moderately complex projects.
• Maintain project schedules, timelines, and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Collaborate with power utilities on communication, time synchronization, cybersecurity, and digital substation topics.
• Deliver training on Schneider Electric products via in‑person sessions and webinars.
• Troubleshoot technical issues for customers and sales support.
• Prepare application notes, lessons learned, and perform system testing at staging sites.
• Lead commissioning, startup activities, and interface directly with clients to strengthen relationships and support business development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Communication, or Electrical Power Engineering.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in automation, SCADA, or substation projects.
• Fluent English (verbal and written); French is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel, including potential international assignments.
