Category Lead, CAPEX & OPEX Procurement

About the role

The Category Lead for CAPEX & OPEX Procurement will shape and execute sourcing strategies for both capital and operational spend. Reporting to senior leadership, you will partner with Finance, Engineering, and Operations to drive cost optimisation and ensure commercial excellence across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for CAPEX and OPEX spend.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including RFP/RFQ creation, negotiation, and contracting.
• Manage procurement of capital equipment, projects, and indirect categories such as IT, facilities management, professional services, and MRO.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives, value creation, and supplier performance improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Engineering, and Operations to align procurement activities with budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, maintain documentation, and support audit readiness.
• Promote ethical sourcing, sustainability practices, and strong supplier relationships.

Required profile

• BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 7–9 years of experience in procurement or category management, with strong CAPEX and OPEX sourcing background.
• Proven negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
