Cost Control Manager

About the role

The Cost Control Manager will lead the costing function, ensuring accurate cost accounting, transparent financial reporting, and robust support for strategic decisions. This role combines supervision of cost activities with detailed analysis to drive financial efficiency across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all costing activities, including reporting and financial analysis.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual costing reports to senior management.
• Lead annual budget preparation and analyse variances between actual and budgeted figures.
• Oversee monthly cost statements and coordinate with the General Accounts team.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries for project reimbursements and expense allocations.
• Prepare profit & loss statements for all projects and reconcile them with general accounts.
• Validate cost sheets and offers from the bidding department before submission.
• Audit purchase orders for accurate project costing.
• Monitor budget execution and produce deviation and variance reports.
• Develop and deliver monthly cost walk presentations to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 13 years of experience in cost control, budgeting or related finance functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional certification in Intermediate Corporate Finance.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel and MS Office capabilities.
• Budgeting, internal controls, and managerial accounting.
• Cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Business decision tools such as IRR and NPV.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards.
