Customer Engineer – ATM Technical Support

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Engineer to provide high‑quality technical support and maintenance for ATMs and self‑checkout systems across South Africa. The role combines field service, problem solving and strong customer interaction to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain ATM hardware and related electromechanical devices.
• Produce and update equipment performance reports and install modifications.
• Provide multi‑vendor maintenance and manage day‑to‑day customer relationships.
• Diagnose issues, own resolution until SLA targets are met, and communicate status via mobile app.
• Process stock movements and call‑out details on the field application.
• Travel throughout South Africa and be available on standby rosters for weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Solid understanding of electromechanical systems and structured troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities in a field‑service environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
