Cybersecurity Ethical Hacking Associate

About the role

PwC’s Cybersecurity team protects organisations from evolving cyber threats. As a Cybersecurity Ethical Hacking Associate you will act as an offensive security specialist, simulating real‑world attacks to uncover weaknesses and help clients harden their digital environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing on networks, applications and systems to identify vulnerabilities.
• Use tools such as Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Metasploit and Nmap to emulate attacker techniques.
• Analyse security architectures and recommend improvements.
• Document findings, reproduce issues and provide clear remediation guidance.
• Conduct social‑engineering tests, including phishing simulations, when required.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps and compliance teams to ensure secure configurations and deployments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an Ethical Hacker, Penetration Tester or Security Analyst.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems and software security.
• Hands‑on scripting or programming ability (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR or PCI‑DSS.
