Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Desktop Support Engineer to deliver day‑to‑day local and remote support for end users in Egypt. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and application issues across Windows and basic Mac environments while ensuring a high level of user satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide local and remote desktop support, managing inbound requests and resolving hardware, software and application issues.
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain workstation hardware and software, performing break/fix and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve workstation performance problems, network connectivity issues and peripheral incidents, including printers and AV equipment.
• Maintain accurate ticket records, document troubleshooting steps and coordinate with vendors for complex technical problems.
• Mentor junior technicians and support senior technical teams as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months of IT support experience with hands‑on desktop, hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Windows XP‑10, Microsoft Office, Cisco Jabber and basic Mac environments.
• Strong ability to diagnose hardware failures, perform preventative maintenance and use diagnostic tools for network issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent; CompTIA A+ and/or Microsoft Certified Professional required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking and customer‑focused problem‑solving skills.
