Field Application Engineer

About the role

The Field Application Engineer will support business growth for Siemens EDA by engaging with customers, assisting sales campaigns, and delivering technical expertise throughout the evaluation and deployment phases. Working with U.S.-based customers, you will collaborate closely with sales, product, and support teams to ensure successful technical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with customer stakeholders at the individual contributor level under guidance.
• Gather and analyse customer requirements, design flows, and technical challenges.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations with mentorship support.
• Support sales campaigns through evaluations, pilot projects, and solution positioning.
• Collaborate with Account Technology Managers, Technical Account Managers, and other Field Application Engineers to execute engagement plans.
• Execute technical benchmarks, evaluations, and pilot deployments.
• Assist customers with workflow support, tool configuration, and issue resolution.
• Document and share customer insights, evaluation outcomes, and competitive observations.
• Participate in training programs to deepen knowledge of Siemens EDA solutions and market strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
• Willingness to learn from experienced team members and develop customer‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with verification methodologies such as UVM, assertion‑based verification, and functional coverage.
• Proficiency in verification technologies: simulation, formal verification, emulation, and prototyping.
• Knowledge of digital design flows and HDL languages (SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL).
• Scripting experience with Python, Shell, and/or Perl.
