About the role

The Foreign Procurement Section Head leads the selection and management of international suppliers to ensure the company receives the best value in price, quality, and service. This senior position oversees the entire foreign purchasing process, from request review to delivery monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Smartly select approved international suppliers based on price, quality, service, reliability, and reputation.
• Negotiate with international and national suppliers to secure optimal pricing and service terms.
• Review purchase requests from the planning department, evaluating lead time, quantity, need‑by dates, and inventory levels.
• Analyze price proposals, prepare price comparisons, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Calculate international freight charges and prepare foreign orders for approval.
• Transmit approved purchase orders to suppliers, receive acknowledgements, and monitor shipments to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Follow up on undelivered goods, resolve shipment issues, and maintain accurate tracking.
• Regularly review approved suppliers to maintain at least two approved sources per material and develop action plans.
• Establish and maintain communication channels within and outside the organization to facilitate procurement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably with international sourcing.
