Head of Expansion

About the role

Eyewa, the leading omnichannel eyewear retailer in the Middle East, is launching its first stores in Egypt. As Head of Expansion you will own the end‑to‑end process of finding, negotiating and securing retail locations, turning strategic maps into signed, store‑ready leases.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously refine the store location strategy in partnership with the Managing Director and Retail leadership.
• Build and maintain a ranked pipeline of candidate sites, evaluating footfall, demographics, competition and commercial viability.
• Lead lease negotiations with landlords, mall operators and developers to secure optimal rent, terms and fit‑out conditions.
• Develop the commercial case for each site (rent‑to‑revenue, payback) together with Finance and Strategy teams.
• Own the full deal cycle from initial contact to signed lease, coordinating legal and internal approvals.
• Establish and nurture a network of mall operators, developers and brokers across Egypt.
• Manage the lease portfolio, handling renewals, rent reviews and exits to protect economics.
• Coordinate handover of secured sites to Retail Operations for seamless fit‑out and opening.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in retail leasing, real estate or expansion, preferably with a retail chain, F&B group or developer operating in Egypt.
• Proven track record as a dealmaker and hunter who can close high‑value site agreements.
• Strong, active network of contacts with Egyptian malls, developers and landlords.
