Junior Software Engineer (Excellent English)

About the role
EgyBell is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join a leading insurance company in Mohandessin, Giza. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing Java EE applications while ensuring high‑quality code and seamless integration with existing systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and bug fixes for Java EE applications.
- Work with Java 8, Spring Boot, JSF, RichFaces, JSP, and Servlets.
- Build responsive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JSTL, jQuery, Bootstrap, and JavaScript.
- Develop and test REST and SOAP web services; use Postman for API validation.
- Deploy and configure applications on Oracle WebLogic Server and IBM WebSphere.
- Manage source code with Git and SVN; track work using Jira.
- Create complex reports and data exports with JasperReports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience in the insurance sector is a plus.

- Object‑oriented programming, data structures, algorithms.
- HTML5, CSS3, JSTL, jQuery, Bootstrap, JavaScript.
- Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL), Oracle 9i, JPA (EclipseLink).

- Oracle WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere.
- Git, SVN, Jira.
- JasperReports, XSL, XML, Crystal Reports (asset).
