Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning & Development Specialist ensures that safety and compliance are embedded in all training activities while managing the full lifecycle of employee learning. This role collaborates closely with Regional Safety Officers, Rig Managers and People & Organization teams to deliver timely, regulated training.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor training compliance in the Learning Management System (LMS) and resolve gaps before expiration.
• Schedule, organize and administer training sessions based on departmental needs, certifications and regulatory mandates.
• Manage participant registration, attendance tracking, certification issuance and documentation in LMS/TMS.
• Conduct competency assessments, identify skill gaps and coordinate remedial training.
• Serve as primary contact for safety officers, rig managers and HR specialists regarding training schedules and requirements.
• Collect post‑training feedback and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate training records, track expiration dates and ensure timely re‑certification.
• Collaborate with external training providers to meet contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Experience in training coordination, learning management and compliance tracking.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across safety, operations and HR.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
