Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Join Smart Eye’s algorithm development team to create safety‑critical computer‑vision features for automotive cabins. You will work on head‑ and eye‑tracking, attentiveness detection, occupant identification and interior sensing across a range of embedded platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, prototype and deploy end‑to‑end machine‑learning pipelines, from data‑collection protocols to model training and validation.
• Develop and optimise deep‑learning architectures for inference on automotive hardware.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, visualisation and performance benchmarking.
• Integrate trained models into production software and validate them on target platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Gothenburg and Boston, following Agile practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field with a focus on computer vision or machine learning.
• At least three years of professional software development experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently in a fast‑changing environment.
