Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Maintenance Planner will organise and coordinate preventive, corrective and planned maintenance activities for the mobile equipment fleet at Sukari Gold Mine, ensuring high availability and reliability while controlling downtime and costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop weekly preventive‑maintenance and corrective schedules, adjusting for unplanned events while protecting critical commitments.
• Create and validate SAP PM work orders, job plans, task lists and packages with clear scope, duration, labour and tool requirements.
• Identify, reserve and coordinate spare parts and services, supporting procurement with accurate specifications.
• Monitor backlog, PM compliance and schedule adherence; analyse failure data and produce maintenance forecasts and shutdown plans.
• Facilitate planning meetings and liaise with workshop, operations, reliability, warehouse, procurement and finance, escalating risks with mitigation options.
• Embed HSE controls, permits and isolations in all plans and maintain master data and BOMs in the CMMS.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying planning standards, quality checks and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably with mobile equipment, and exposure to planning/scheduling and CMMS work management.
• Proficiency in SAP PM and other CMMS tools, with strong work‑order preparation and master‑data governance.
• Understanding of planning methods, spare‑parts inventory principles and reliability KPIs (availability, MTBF, MTTR, MTBS).
• Advanced Excel skills and intermediate Power BI for KPI analysis and reporting.
