Offsider – Mining Support

About the role

The Offsider will support drilling operations at the Sukari gold mine, ensuring safe and efficient progress by maintaining housekeeping, handling equipment, and managing consumables. This on‑site role is based in Marsa Alam and contributes directly to the mine’s production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with rapid rig setups, teardowns, and rod handling to maximise drilling shift meters.
• Extract, clean, orient, and place gold‑bearing core samples into core boxes with zero marking errors.
• Monitor drilling fluid levels, prepare mud mixes, and keep the rig supplied with bits, tubes, and greases.
• Maintain a spotless underground work area, eliminating trip hazards and complying with strict safety protocols.
• Support minor equipment care within competency and ensure materials are available to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Basic educational degree.
• Experience in heavy industry or construction.
• Valid driver’s licence.
