Operations Engineer

About the role

The Operations Engineer will join a technical team responsible for maintaining and expanding data‑center infrastructure. The role focuses on hardware installation, system configuration, monitoring, and backup operations while providing on‑call support for critical incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Install, move, and de‑install customer hardware and perform initial operating system configuration.
• Carry out network and SAN cabling tasks.
• Deploy, configure and operate monitoring solutions across the infrastructure.
• Install new solutions, resolve incompatibility issues and manage problem tickets.
• Implement and operate backup systems, ensuring data protection.
• Isolate server and network issues, perform basic troubleshooting and escalation when needed.
• Collaborate with other technical teams and customers to resolve complex problems.
• Provide on‑call support outside regular hours according to a defined schedule.
• Document technical procedures and contribute to project management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience in data‑center or critical‑environment settings.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Windows OS implementation and administration.
• Linux OS (Red Hat/CentOS) implementation and administration.
• Basic MS SQL administration.
• Experience with monitoring and data‑backup applications.
• Network and SAN cabling knowledge.
• Server hardware installation and rack‑mounting.
• Technical documentation writing.
