Procurement Engineer – Global Sourcing

About the role

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for executing day‑to‑day procurement operations, ensuring accurate, timely and cost‑effective sourcing of materials, equipment and services from international suppliers. The role supports the business by managing purchase orders, coordinating with logistics partners and maintaining compliance with customs and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities for regular items, negotiating commercial terms to align with company risk appetite.
• Develop and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for supplier contracts, ensuring service standards are met.
• Handle internal and external enquiries, issue Requests for Quotation, and evaluate supplier offers for price, quality, delivery and payment terms.
• Analyse spending data to identify savings opportunities and meet KPI targets.
• Source and approve new suppliers, conduct market research, attend fairs and visit facilities.
• Coordinate freight quotations, monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues.
• Prepare import documentation, manage letters of credit and ensure all required bank documents are submitted.

Required profile

• Proven experience in international procurement and supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import documentation.
• Ability to negotiate commercial contracts and develop SLAs.
• Analytical mindset for spending data analysis and cost‑saving initiatives.
