Production Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Production Engineer to support and improve assembly operations in our CKD manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring smooth production flow, optimizing line performance, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage effective use of personnel, material, and equipment to meet production targets.
• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and support launch and pilot activities.
• Maintain quality standards, resolve quality issues, and ensure compliance with GM agreements.
• Promote safe work practices, ergonomics, and housekeeping.
• Coach, train, and develop hourly team members, including Group Leaders.
• Apply lean manufacturing and synchronous principles to reduce variation, control costs, and improve productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or operational excellence.
• Experience in automotive body‑shop assemblies (welding, riveting, metal finishing) is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Production line balancing and manpower balancing.
• Assembly process design and workstation layout.
• Root‑cause analysis tools (5 Whys, fishbone, A3).
• Lean manufacturing, waste elimination, and throughput improvement.
• Six Sigma methodology and process optimization.
