Quality Control Engineer – Food Production

About the role

The Quality Control Engineer will ensure that all food production processes meet strict hygiene, GMP and regulatory standards. You will work closely with production and management teams to maintain high quality and safety levels.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production processes for compliance with hygiene standards, GMP and Egyptian regulations (MOH, NFSA).
• Conduct regular inspections, internal and external audits (ISO9001, ISO22000, FSSC, HALAL, BRC, AIB).
• Lead root‑cause analysis for deviations using tools such as control charts, PDCA and other quality methods.
• Verify CCPs/OPRPs, inspect facilities and equipment for cleanliness and proper maintenance.
• Report non‑conformities, support corrective actions and maintain accurate records.
• Develop and deliver training on hygiene protocols and GMP, assess training effectiveness.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑4 years of experience in food quality inspection or a similar role.
• Relevant certifications such as HACCP or SQF are an asset.
• Familiarity with GMP, hygiene standards and Egyptian food safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality‑management software.
