Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

The Retail Sales Assistant at IKEA Mall of Arabia plays a key part in creating strong connections with shoppers, helping them choose from the wide range of home furnishing products. You will ensure the store maintains high merchandising standards, product availability and delivers an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of the assigned area to verify price labels, product tags and other communication media are correctly placed.
• Monitor stock levels, recommend orders to the shopkeeper and coordinate with the Procurement Executive for replenishment.
• Place customers at the centre of every interaction, greeting them with empathy and addressing their needs.
• Engage in regular conversations with guests to collect feedback and act on their preferences.
• Prepare pro‑forma invoices based on customer requirements and follow up on quotations to convert them into sales.
• Promote product sales by identifying opportunities, offering alternatives and suggesting add‑on items to meet targets.
• Identify slow‑moving or non‑selling items and propose actions to improve turnover.
• Maintain attractive product displays according to company guidelines.
