Security Administrator – Telecom Security Operations

About the role

The Security Administrator is responsible for safeguarding the integrity and availability of in‑house computer systems, servers, and network connections within a telecom environment. You will monitor and analyse signalling traffic, manage virus scans, and troubleshoot security incidents to ensure continuous, secure operations.

Key responsibilities

• Protect 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks from signalling threats.
• Monitor and investigate SS7, Diameter and GTP security events.
• Analyse MAP, CAP, Diameter and GTP‑C/U traffic.
• Tune telecom signalling firewalls and improve detection capabilities.
• Support roaming and inter‑connect security operations.
• Manage security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and prepare operational reports.
• Collaborate with Core Network, Roaming and Fraud teams.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of SS7, Diameter, GTP, LTE/EPC and roaming security.
• Hands‑on experience with telecom security platforms such as Mobileum, Cellusys or Enea.
• Experience administering Fortinet, F5, A10 and Juniper SRX firewalls.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, VPN/IPSec, High Availability and traffic inspection.
• Familiarity with GSMA specifications FS.07, FS.11, FS.19 and FS.20.
• 3+ years of experience in Telecom Security Operations or a related role.
