Senior Accounting Controller

About the role

The Senior Accounting Controller will lead the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate and complete financial records across multiple jurisdictions. You will safeguard the integrity of the general ledger, enforce strong internal controls, and support timely, high‑quality financial reporting for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, validating accruals, provisions, pre‑payments and inter‑company transactions.
• Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and sub‑ledger balances.
• Prepare, review and approve balance‑sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely clearance of reconciling items.
• Monitor closing timelines, identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions to meet reporting deadlines.
• Produce monthly financial statements, management reports and variance analyses, explaining performance drivers.
• Partner with finance, operations, tax, treasury and shared‑services teams to resolve accounting issues and improve process efficiency.
• Design, execute and monitor key financial controls, ensuring documentation, segregation of duties and audit readiness.
• Coordinate with local compliance teams to support external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and tax regulations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Progressive experience in accounting and finance, including closing, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regional tax regulations.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple jurisdictions.
