Senior Contracts Engineer – Construction & Real Estate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to lead the drafting, review and negotiation of consultancy and contractor agreements for large‑scale mixed‑use developments in Cairo. The role ensures contractual compliance throughout the construction phase and mitigates commercial risks.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate consultancy, contractor and project‑related agreements.
• Prepare and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for design consultants and professional services.
• Administer main contracts during construction, ensuring compliance with obligations and project requirements.
• Evaluate, negotiate and manage contractor claims, variations and Extension of Time (EOT) requests in line with Egyptian law.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Design Management, Procurement and Legal teams to resolve contractual matters.
• Support tendering, contract award and post‑award commercial administration activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
• Mandatory CLAC certification.
• 5–8 years of contracts management, claims and commercial administration experience in the Egyptian construction and real‑estate sector.
• Proven experience on large‑scale mixed‑use residential and commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian building codes, permitting procedures and local authority requirements.
