Senior Customs Declarant / Customs Clearance Specialist

About the role

Speedaf Egypt is looking for an experienced Senior Customs Declarant to manage import clearance operations. The role involves preparing and submitting customs declarations, ensuring compliance with Egyptian regulations, and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit customs declarations with accurate HS classification, valuation and origin details.
• Handle commercial and shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, AWB/BL and permits.
• Manage NAFEZA and ACI/ACID procedures, including electronic filing and shipment tracking.
• Address customs inspections, valuation issues, amendments, disputes and coordinate shipment release.
• Identify discrepancies and high‑risk cases, escalating when necessary.
• Review the work of team members, maintain accurate customs records and provide guidance to junior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of customs clearance experience in Egypt, preferably B2B import.
• Experience with air and/or sea freight and a valid customs clearance license for third‑party clearance.
• Fluent Arabic and good working English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on high‑risk cases.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NAFEZA and ACI/ACID electronic customs systems.
• Advanced Excel, PDF handling, electronic filing and document control.
