Senior Data Engineer – Data Integration – Databricks

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks to help clients design, build, and optimise data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will work closely with client teams to translate business requirements into robust, scalable data pipelines and AI use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Implement data and AI use cases on the Databricks platform, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.
• Design, build, and enhance the Databricks environment to meet evolving client needs.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their data and AI requirements and provide technical guidance.
• Support migration, deployment, and management of data and AI workloads in cloud environments.
• Participate in technical reviews and knowledge‑sharing sessions with internal and client teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and enhancing Databricks platforms for data and AI workloads.
• Strong background in data engineering principles, including data processing, storage, and retrieval on cloud‑based systems.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies and migration of data/AI applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients to translate requirements into technical solutions.
