Senior General Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior General Accountant to join our finance team in Maadi, Cairo. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ledgers, and statements in line with accounting standards.
• Process daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide documentation and explanations to auditors during audits.
• Monitor petty cash and expense reimbursements.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support business operations.
• Contribute to process improvements and implementation of accounting best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or insurance environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office setting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
