Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will lead and execute audits in line with the organization’s internal audit charter and applicable standards. This role ensures audit findings are impartial, well‑documented, and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and scope financial audits based on organizational objectives, policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits on schedule, gather evidence, and produce comprehensive reports for the Audit Head.
• Identify risk areas, control deficiencies, fraud, or non‑compliance and propose practical solutions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
• Analyze financial and information systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Interview staff, review records, and verify that transactions comply with laws and regulations.
• Provide coaching and resources to audit team members and lead a team of internal auditors.
• Report audit results to management, highlighting asset utilization and operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA or CISA are a plus.
• Proven experience in internal auditing, risk assessment, and control evaluation.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and audit evidence.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations.
