Software Development Engineer – Xpedition Flow

About the role

Siemens EDA is seeking a Software Development Engineer to support and enhance the Xpedition flow product suite. You will design, implement, and release high‑quality software that meets strict functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and supportability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Xpedition flow products, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.
• Design, improve, implement, and release software with a focus on usability and reliability.
• Collaborate with other developers to manage inter‑dependencies and integration issues.
• Participate in design, specification, and code reviews or inspections.
• Contribute to project planning, task breakdown, and schedule estimation.
• Work closely with Marketing and QA teams to understand and support customer needs.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum graduation grade of “Very Good”.
• 3–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and present technical concepts effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with STL and Visual Studio.
• Strong understanding of SOLID design principles.
• Experience with design patterns, data structures, and algorithm design/analysis.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits and board design (preferred).
• Familiarity with configuration‑management tools (preferred).
• Good knowledge of VHDL/Verilog (preferred).
• Experience with QA methodology and test‑coverage techniques.
