Software Engineer (AI Training)

About the role

Join Alignerr as a Software Engineer focused on AI training. You will write, debug, and optimise code while evaluating AI‑generated solutions, helping to make coding assistants smarter, safer and more reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimise code across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Review AI‑generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability and best practices.
• Identify bugs, security issues and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide detailed, structured feedback explaining why code works or fails.
• Design challenging prompts and edge‑case scenarios to stress‑test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI‑generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently on your own schedule, fully remote.

Required profile

• Proficient in at least one major programming language.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving instincts and systematic debugging approach.
• Clear written communicator able to explain technical decisions in plain language.
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working without supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
