Solution Architect – BSS Charging & Monetization

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned BSS Solution Architect with deep expertise in charging solutions to lead complex customer engagements and transformation programs. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end design of Ericsson Charging (EC) and Digital Monetization Platform (DMP) solutions, ensuring they meet both business and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture design for online/offline, convergent charging, policy, and billing solutions based on Ericsson Charging.
• Translate customer business and marketing requirements into high‑level and low‑level designs covering Charging, Customer/Party Management, Product Catalog, and Order Management.
• Define interfaces and integration patterns with Core Network, IMS, PCRF/PCF, DMP, CRM, Mediation, Payment, DWH/BI, and partner systems.
• Design native and cloud‑native deployment architectures, addressing capacity, availability, resilience, security, and observability.
• Facilitate customer workshops, clarify requirements, elaborate use cases, and validate solutions.
• Support presales activities, including technical scope definition, effort estimation, and proposal preparation.
• Provide technical leadership during implementation, testing, acceptance, and troubleshooting.
• Mentor team members and contribute to internal competence development.

Required profile

• BSc in Telecommunications, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience in BSS/Telecom, with at least 5‑7 years as a Solution Architect in BSS/Charging.
• Proven ability to design and document end‑to‑end solutions, including functional and non‑functional requirements.

• Online charging, convergent charging, policy, billing.
• 3GPP charging standards (Gy/Ro/Sy, 5G SBI).
• TM Forum SID, eTOM, Open APIs.
• REST/HTTP, JSON, API Gateway, SFTP/file‑based flows.
• Cloud‑native platforms with Kubernetes (OpenShift, Tanzu, EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Design for capacity, availability, resilience, security, observability.
