Supply Chain Assistant - Aswan

About the role

The Supply Chain Assistant will support the Operations – Supply Chain Department at the Aswan Field Office, ensuring that procurement, fleet, and asset activities are carried out in line with Save the Children policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage owned vehicles and day‑to‑day fleet/truck rental operations, updating the weekly fleet plan and sharing it with stakeholders.
• Maintain the asset register, incorporating monthly updates from the procurement team and submitting the register to senior management.
• Apply mandatory templates for all asset movements, donations, and disposals.
• Conduct procurement buying transactions for projects and emergency responses, preparing accurate RFIs and RFQs.
• Track quotation deadlines, facilitate Competitive Bid Analyses, and support procurement committee meetings.
• Monitor contract delivery dates, send reminders to suppliers, and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of goods.
• Support program operations in raising and receiving purchase requisitions.
• Coordinate project closures, including asset disposal plans and close‑out checklists.
• Embed counter‑fraud and ethical controls, collaborating with Finance and Counter‑Fraud teams.

Required profile

• Ability to travel up to 10% to governorates as needed.
• Experience working under Save the Children or similar humanitarian supply chain frameworks.
• Familiarity with donor and legal compliance requirements for procurement and asset management.
