System Administrator – Engineering Background Required

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Alexandria, Egypt, is for a System Administrator with a solid engineering background. You will ensure the reliability, security and performance of our core infrastructure while supporting internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers, operating systems and core infrastructure services.
• Monitor system performance, manage user accounts and permissions, and apply security patches.
• Implement and test data backup and recovery procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and document configurations, procedures and incident resolutions.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT stakeholders to plan and implement improvements, maintain high availability and support technology projects.

Required profile

• Strong system administration experience, including server setup and routine maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software and user-related problems.
• Experience in network administration (routers, switches, firewalls) and performance monitoring.
• Engineering degree (Computer, Electrical or related) is mandatory.
• Experience with virtualization platforms, backup solutions and system monitoring tools.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment.
• Good written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.
