Team Leader – Mechanical Technical Office

About the role

Makeplace Developments is looking for a Team Leader to manage the Mechanical Technical Office in New Cairo. The role involves overseeing the preparation of shop drawings, coordinating with other disciplines and providing technical support throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue shop drawings for mechanical works using AutoCAD.
• Review design drawings and convert them into constructible, site‑ready shop drawings.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications for materials and equipment.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines and resolve clashes.
• Prepare method statements and ensure they align with site execution.
• Track and update As‑Built drawings after execution.
• Provide technical support to the site team with required drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and submit regular technical reports to the Project Manager or Technical Office Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of technical office experience in the construction industry.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit MEP and BIM.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
