Thermal & CFD Engineer

About the role

BrightEV is seeking a Thermal & CFD Engineer to develop and validate mechanical designs and simulations that ensure optimal thermal performance, structural integrity, and vibration resilience of components and assemblies. The role directly supports product reliability and safety through rigorous engineering analysis and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate mechanical component designs using CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, ANSYS, or similar.
• Perform structural, thermal, and vibration simulations to assess fatigue, heat dissipation, stress, and dynamic behavior.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and testing teams to align design intent with production capabilities and test outcomes.
• Integrate design changes based on test feedback, regulatory requirements, and performance data.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, engineering change orders (ECOs), and technical reports.
• Participate in design reviews, presenting simulation results and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (Master’s a plus).
• 2–5 years of practical experience in mechanical design with strong emphasis on CAD and simulation (FEA/CFD).
• Hands‑on experience with structural, thermal, or vibration analysis in product development.

Required skills

• 3D CAD tools: SolidWorks, Creo, NX.
• Simulation software: ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, Icepak.
• Knowledge of material properties, GD&T, and DFM principles.
• Familiarity with ISO and ASME design standards.
