UAT Consultant

About the role

The UAT Consultant will plan, execute, and document User Acceptance Testing activities to ensure business requirements are fully met before release. Working closely with business, delivery, and technology teams, the consultant guarantees that solutions comply with quality, regulatory, and customer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute end‑to‑end UAT for change initiatives according to scope, timelines, and strategy.
• Design and maintain UAT artefacts such as test scenarios, test cases, and execution evidence.
• Perform risk‑based and scenario‑based testing to validate business requirements and user journeys.
• Define and validate UAT entry and exit criteria, raising risks or issues as needed.
• Log, track, and manage defects using Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and defect status to the UAT Lead.
• Support business testers, offering guidance on test execution and best practices.
• Ensure all UAT activities meet governance, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to post‑implementation reviews, reporting, and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Proven experience in User Acceptance Testing or Business Acceptance Testing within change or transformation environments.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, accuracy, and auditability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business, product, and technology teams.
• Good understanding of regulated environments and the importance of compliance and governance.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
• Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.
