Upgrades Project Engineer

About the role

The Upgrades Project Engineer will work within Tetra Pak's services organization, supporting both Egypt and the Arabian market. You will lead upgrade projects for filling machines and processing equipment, from design through to execution and closure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage three types of upgrade projects: pre‑designed kits for filling machines, pre‑designed kits for processing equipment, and full process design of processing equipment.
• Perform engineering work using CAD and SSP Designer software.
• Prepare accurate project cost calculations and quotations.
• Lead scope definition, budgeting, and control of project results.
• Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with suppliers.
• Identify and manage scope changes, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate stakeholder communication and report KPI progress.
• Apply global processes, tools, guidelines, and templates.
• Create and lead the project organization, defining roles and coordinating the team.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and travel to customer sites for execution management.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in Process Engineering, Process Commissioning, Process Design, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in process optimisation, commissioning activities, and engineering design projects.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary project environments and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and technical documentation skills.
• Project management experience is a strong advantage.
