About the role

The Academic Assistant for Fine Arts supports online and hybrid Fine Arts courses at Louisiana State University of Alexandria. Working closely with faculty, the assistant ensures timely feedback and a high‑quality learning experience for students.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to student inquiries via email.
• Grade assignments using established rubrics.
• Rate discussion forum contributions.
• Send weekly reminders and announcements to the class.
• Maintain compliance with required training such as FERPA, sexual harassment, cybersecurity, and Moodle best practices.
• Collaborate with faculty and supervisors to meet course needs without creating or altering course content.

Required profile

• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Fine Arts.
• Ability to work harmoniously with faculty and follow course guidelines.
• Commitment to complete all required LSUA training modules.

Required skills

• Moodle (online learning platform).
