Account Retention Manager

About the role

We are seeking a remote Account Retention Manager to own post‑sale client relationships, reduce churn, and grow revenue from existing accounts. You will work closely with the sales team, who close new deals, and then take charge of ensuring clients continue to see value and expand their spend.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with existing clients.
• Conduct regular account check‑ins to understand goals, needs, and challenges.
• Identify renewal, upgrade, and expansion opportunities.
• Proactively address concerns to prevent cancellations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve the client experience.
• Track account health metrics, retention rates, and revenue trends.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase client lifetime value.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management, client retention, customer success, or sales.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Demonstrated success in retaining and growing existing accounts.
• Comfortable handling objections and difficult conversations.
• Organised, dependable, and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Results‑driven and motivated by performance‑based compensation.
• Self‑starter who can work independently without constant supervision.
