Accountant

About the role

Alkaffary Group is looking for a meticulous and proactive Accountant to join its financial team. The position is based on Maadi Street, Cairo, and candidates living in the area or nearby are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial reports in line with applicable standards and regulations.
• Prepare and monitor the budget, analysing variances between actual and planned figures.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including timely invoice processing and collections through accounting systems.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to keep financial records accurate.
• Support month-end and year-end closing.
• Coordinate with external auditors by providing the required financial data and reports.
• Keep up to date with accounting regulations and best practices.
• Work with an ERP system to record financial transactions (ERP experience preferred).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with an ERP system is preferred.
