Accounts Receivable & Collection Accountant

About the role
The Accounts Receivable & Collection Accountant will support afia foods by managing customer accounts, issuing invoices and ensuring timely collection of payments. This role is essential for maintaining healthy cash flow and strengthening relationships with clients.
Key responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with company policies.
- Contact customers to follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Develop periodic collection plans and monitor their execution.
- Achieve collection targets set by the Finance Department.
- Follow up with overdue customers and take appropriate actions per company policy.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting.
- 0‑2 years of experience in collections or customer account management.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
