Air Freight Executive

About the role

The Air Freight Executive will manage end‑to‑end air freight operations for EGL in Alexandria. This full‑time, on‑site position involves booking shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with airline, customs and regulatory requirements while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Book and coordinate air freight shipments, optimise cargo space and monitor costs.
• Prepare and verify all required documentation for import and export.
• Communicate rates, routing and transit times to clients and liaise with airlines, ground handlers and internal teams.
• Track shipment status, resolve operational issues or delays and update shipment records.
• Prepare quotations, monitor profitability targets and support continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in air freight or freight forwarding operations.
• Knowledge of international trade terms, customs procedures and export/import documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities in English and Arabic.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business or related field is preferred.
