Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end purchase order process, coordinate with suppliers—particularly manufacturers in China—and ensure timely procurement of chemical raw materials. The role involves negotiating terms, monitoring inventory, and supporting short lead‑time orders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full purchase order process from request to delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers, especially manufacturers in China, and understand their manufacturing processes.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve best value.
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in stock‑taking activities.
• Ensure timely procurement to meet short lead‑time orders.
• Utilize computer systems to manage purchasing data and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or a related role.
• Proven experience dealing with the Chinese market and Chinese suppliers.
• Strong experience in sourcing and procurement of chemical raw materials.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience working with local and international suppliers.
