Area Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Area Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the performance, operation, and maintenance of all mechanical and static equipment within a designated operational area. The role ensures that maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to high‑quality standards while supporting production targets and QHSE compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise planned maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems according to job plans and supplier manuals, coordinating technicians and subcontractors.
• Develop job plans and Management of Change (MOC) documentation as required.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of under‑performing equipment or systems.
• Record maintenance data, test results, inspections and calibrations in Maximo.
• Lead maintenance technicians to achieve optimal performance.
• Ensure spare‑part availability based on vulnerability studies and manage the procurement cycle.
• Participate in plant budget preparation and monitor maintenance costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical diploma.
• Proven experience maintaining rotating and static equipment (e.g., centrifugal compressors, pumps, PSVs, heat exchangers).
• Condition monitoring experience preferred.
• Engineering management background preferred.
