Assistant Director of Academic Affairs – International Migration

About the role

The Institute for the Study of International Migration (ISIM) at Georgetown University seeks an Assistant Director of Academic Affairs to support the Master of Arts in International Migration and Refugees (MIMR) program. This hybrid position blends academic advising, program development, and recruitment to enhance student experience and program growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and support to MIMR graduate students.
• Manage admissions, recruitment, and enrollment processes for the program.
• Collaborate with the ISIM Director, faculty, and the MIMR Associate Director on curriculum design and program development.
• Develop and coordinate outreach activities for current students, alumni, and external stakeholder groups.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience in academic administration, including advising and curriculum responsibilities.
• Experience with international migration or refugee studies is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and written communication skills.
