About the role
The College of Liberal Arts at LSU Alexandria seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor of Practice to teach Communication Studies and to support faculty with multimedia and digital content through the Engaged Teaching and Learning Center for Teaching Excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Teach assigned Communication Studies courses with a part‑time load of 9 hours per semester.
- Provide multimedia and digital‑content assistance to faculty through the Engaged Teaching and Learning Center.
- Supervise the content‑creation lab and production studio in Mulder Hall, handling scheduling and operations.
- Participate in university committees, institutional meetings, and professional development activities.
Required profile
- Full‑time faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Practice.
- Ability to maintain regular office hours and respond to students in person and via email.
- Commitment to quality interaction with students and the broader university community.
