Assistant Project Manager - Fit Out

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports senior project managers in delivering interior fit‑out projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the APM helps plan, coordinate and execute fit‑out works while ensuring documentation, timelines and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate design, procurement and engineering teams to align scopes and timelines.
• Support project kick‑off activities, including start‑up documentation and resource allocation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date project documentation such as drawings, approvals, RFIs and submittals.
• Draft meeting agendas, minutes and follow up on action items.
• Serve as first point of contact for contractors and vendors under the Project Manager’s direction.
• Schedule and attend coordination meetings with clients, designers, engineers and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship and compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
• Track material approvals, deliveries and vendor commitments.
• Assist in budget monitoring, cost reporting and variation logging.
• Prepare punch lists, snag tracking and final handover documentation.

Required profile

• BSc in Construction, Project Management or a related field.
• Experience in pre‑ and post‑contract phases of fit‑out projects, preferably hospitality.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and organisational abilities.
• Ability to lead and manage project teams.
• Understanding of project management methodologies and regional regulations.
