Assistant/Associate Professor in Linguistics and Translation (Russian)

About the role

The Faculty of Applied Languages at King Salman International University seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor in Linguistics and Translation with a focus on Russian. The successful candidate will join a dynamic department that offers an undergraduate program in Russian Translation and Interpreting and collaborates closely with regional organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 3–4 courses per semester, both on‑site and online
• Develop and update curricula and instructional materials
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
• Conduct research and publish scholarly work in linguistics, translation, or interpreting
• Participate in community engagement, professional service, and departmental administration

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Interpreting Studies, or a closely related field from a recognized institution
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level
• Professional practice in translation and/or interpreting, especially in Russian
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to academic service
