Associate Inventory Controller

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for an Associate Inventory Controller in Cairo. The role covers daily stock monitoring, store support on inventory matters and regular reporting to the General Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of stock movement and running a daily inventory adjustment report
• Providing stock reports at category level for all stores
• Guiding stores on receiving deliveries, returning purchase orders and handling some operational stock issues
• Carrying out stock takes and cycle counts for running stores
• Matching invoices with finance and investigating discrepancies
• Weekly reporting to the GM on total inventory adjustments, including shrinkage percentage against sales
• Spot-checking and visiting stores to investigate inventory discrepancies
• Reporting system issues affecting store operations and stocks
• Monthly reconciliation with finance and monthly inventory turnover reports

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in inventory management
• Detail-oriented, structured and able to prioritize, delivering solutions rather than bottlenecks
• Able to interact with senior-level executives and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders
• Energetic, eager to learn and with strong analytical and communication skills
• Robust interpersonal and intercultural skills, able to inspire teams and stakeholders
• Excellent English is highly advantageous
