Bank Teller – Customer Service & Cash Operations

About the role

The Bank Teller will work at a branch counter, handling cash and cheque transactions for customers in both Egyptian Pounds and foreign currencies. The role requires strict adherence to regulatory standards while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cash deposits, withdrawals, and currency exchanges.
• Receive and process cheque deposits and withdrawals, endorse cheques for clearing/collection.
• Verify customer identity using national IDs, passports or military cards.
• Check signatures within authorized limits and obtain additional verification for higher amounts.
• Maintain zero cash shortages or excesses at the counter.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate complaints to the Branch Operations Officer.
• Coordinate daily cash needs with the Head Teller and manage cash shipments between the branch and central vault.
• Archive daily transactions and prepare cash reports.
• Execute incoming transfers via ADIB Remit and identify potential sales opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with CBE, AML, and internal ADIB policies.
• Participate in UAT testing and investigate complaints in cooperation with compliance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience (teller or internship preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict regulatory guidelines.
• Self‑motivation and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
